Role DC Fast Charger Application Engineer POSITION SUMMARY This position is located at BorgWarner’s Italy Plant in Lugo (RA).
The application engineer will focus on customer support for DC stationary fast chargers by assessing customers’ needs while also assisting them in the field; this position will be a technical bridge between Customers and BorgWarner R&D & Sales team, reporting directly to line manager.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Act as BorgWarner Charging Products technical expert Act as technical point of contact between customers, sales, and hardware/software development teams Support sales during the Request for Quotation (RFQ) with specification analysis and creation of technical gap report.
Coordinate activities such as commissioning or debug analysis of Charging Products with different BorgWarner Departments such as Customer Services, Quality, and manufacturing Investigate and report out new product requirements to the project management Propose solutions that reduce cost, and increase deployment speed Identifies and solves a broad range SW problem and implement new customer’s features using an analytical approach and main industrial tools Identifies and solve a HW-SW compatibility issue using an electrical and electronic instrumentation and equipment’s Develops technical documentation according to the internal quality system EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Preferable MS in Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering Sound programming knowledge (C++, C) and web developing Knowledge of Linux operating system.
Good experience with the main power electronics power conversion topologies Familiar with electronic schematics and wiring diagrams Fluent in English Attitude at problem solving Nice to have.
