As the Head of this facility, you'll be at the forefront of groundbreaking discoveries in cancer biology.
Your Role As the Head, you will orchestrate scientific innovation, overseeing all aspects of our state-of-the-art facility.
From managing personnel and budgeting to establishing standard operating procedures and staying ahead of technological trends, you'll be the driving force behind IFOM's functional genomics initiatives.
Technical Expertise Utilize your expertise in genetic screening technologies, including RNAi, CRISPRi/a, CRISPR base editors, screening libraries and platforms, to modulate gene function.
Lead the charge in designing, executing and analyzing genome-wide loss and gain of-function based on RNAi, CRISPR activation/inhibition, base editing, and combinatorial screens to identify synthetic interactions lethal and unravel the mysteries of genes involved in cancer.
Collaborative Synergy Forge strong collaborations with IFOM researchers, seamlessly integrating your knowledge with theirs.
Integrate functional genomics with existing facilities working on bulk and single cell genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, imaging, spatial transcriptomics, digital pathology, and animal usage.
Be the main actor in designing and executing projects that push the boundaries of functional genomics, propelling IFOM to the forefront of scientific excellence.
Recommended qualifications PhD in biology/genetics or related areas Strong publication record in genetic screening technologies Proficiency in RNAi, CRISPR technologies End-to-end management of screening platforms Outstanding communication and personnel management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a matrix environment within academic medicine Proven success in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams What We Offer Join IFOM and be a pivotal player in our journey to advance cancer biology.
