Joint research and development projects Worldwide supply capacity Prime Contractorship and Design Authority Procurement optimization Activities and Responsibilities The Naval Architect is an engineer that is experienced in Naval Architecture, able to master the key factors of success for a Naval Ship Design.
Requirements Management using MS Excel and Doors (or Jazz); Pre-design phase, based on design key drivers; GA architecture (eventually from scratch) integrating the logics of multiple flows; Hull form design, including its generation using dedicated software; Hydrodynamics (through usage of various methods); Stability using dedicated softwares; Structure definition and scantling; Propulsion overall design.
Besides, He/She should have a good knowledge of Naval Vessels, especially Surface Combatant Classes, and Class Rules (in particular Naval ones).
