What we’re looking for.
Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our collaborative, Agile team.
This position will include hands-on development and a close working relationship with our product owners and development teams to build out products for our clients and website using AWS Lamda’s, Serverless, Kafka Python and RESTful APIs built in Ruby on Rails.
Why you’ll want to come to work everyday.
Develop high quality, innovative, flexible, and scalable technical solutions for critical Gartner Digital Market applications.
Perform hands-on development and provide thoughtful code reviews and architectural insights.
Design, develop, test and support applications and services using Python/Ruby, AWS Lambda, Kafka  and other languages and frameworks.
Follow SCRUM Agile Development methodology.
What you'll bring to the team.
6+ years in enterprise software engineering 4+ years experience working with Python/Ruby at production level 4+years developing with relational databases (SQL) Kafka development experience AWS experience Mentoring / Pairing Nice to haves.
Python experience is highly preferred Knowledge of Confluent/Stream Processing (ksql,kafka streams etc) Experience with Kafka and Lambda Don’t meet every single requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway.
