Civil & structural engineer

Dear Mr./Ms.

I am a Civil & Structural engineer have been working in a company named APS S.p.A since September 2015.

APS S.p.A is an Italian company occupies mainly in the field of Oil & Gas, Refining included, and Petrochemicals and covers all phases of Industrial Plant realization, from Feasibility studies to EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction). Before attending in APS company, I worked in different firms and experienced both design of new buildings and rehabilitation of existing buildings. During my past career I was involved in designing of a Hotel building, retrofitting of school buildings and later on designing of structures, equipment foundations, basins, pipe racks, retaining walls and related buildings of plants while working in in the field of Oil & Gas.

To find out some more of what I had learned before, I pursued my study to attain PhD degree in Italy. As a result of three-year research activity, a decision-based approach is developed to allocate the available budget to retrofit portfolio of vulnerable RC buildings in seismic regions of Italy. So, a risk management program has been made to find out how to intervene and how much should be spent on each building of portfolio to get the maximum total expected benefit (maximum seismic risk reduction) while budget is constrained. 

When I look back, during my past career I have been always fascinated by this type of work and challenging myself with new opportunities. Hence, I am quite eager to fulfill my wish by this excellent opportunity, if there is any chance for me.

As far as I know myself I have been truly motivated to work in civil design projects as a teamwork. Living abroad taught me also how to adapt myself to the new environment, culture, language and how to interact with new people whom I seem stranger to them. I hope my experience and background meet the requirement of the company.
