Detailed work experience
As a graduate Engineer I’ve got to unfold with the training and documentation of the Structural engineering activity on all the projects running by the company, and perceive the contrasts amongst them. By the training activity culminated, I got the opportunity to join the team ZADCO, the acclaimed challenging project first of its kind, which saw the reclaimed islands for the operations. ZADCO:
Documentation of the structural results of the Pre-service, In-place and Transportation analysis from the STAAD models of the modularized structures of the west Island of the project. As I grew from the beginner activities in the project I had the advantage of detecting the delays and checking with the snags in the other disciplines-Electrical, Mechanical & piping for coordination. As the structures been modularized, there’s a high probability of error with the foundations and erection team. A significant achievement of my career in ZADCO is to save a lot of time-lag and money, by overhauling the foundations and anchor bolt-pedestals for the incoming structure modules.
I took the opportunity of designing pipe-racks for the In-place analysis, and subsequently a member of transportation and lifting analysis team. Designed the temporary supports for the support of the structure during decking and on the SPMT, and simulation of structure response for the lifting operations from the barge and at the site. Design of the pipe racks in STAAD, and generate the model and drawings from TEKLA, for the connections.
American code of design is followed for ZADCO (Zakum Development Company) on the stipulation of the client- ADNOC- Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
RHIP:
As an experienced engineer, I was put in the team of Shelters. The Design of the sunshades for the mechanical rotating and static equipment -mainly pumps and compressor. These saw a greater technical growth in me as the heavy equipment demanded the complication in structural geometry. And with dimensions increased the incoming wind force, that needed heavy braces and their exceptional arrangement for the inter-disciplinary activities.
As the complexity gained, the shelters turned into a typical technological structure and designed with guidance from a senior Engineer. My role in RHIP is extended to design of electrical supports according to the layout, for the running of power transmission lines. The ZADCO achievements got me more responsible work in RHIP, I was associated with the BBS (Bar bending schedules) and inspection of the drawings from all the disciplines for shelters, to comply with those of the structural.
European code of standards is followed for RHIP (Rabab Harweel Integrated Project) on the stipulation of the client National Oil Company (NOC) Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
