Technip specializes in the design and construction of Petrochemical Power Plants. As a Structural
Engineer Consultant for the Bio Diesel Power Plant in Singapore owned by Neste Oil, my main
responsibility was to calculate the civil structures using the local norms/standards. Additional
responsibilities were to:
 Modify input data with the piping discipline/sector;
 To manage the P&ID;
 Produce structural reports and model different structures for the project, as concrete ponds,
steel pipe racks, precast pipe racks, underground concrete channels for electrical lines and
for water lines.
 Modify structural design if not approved by project controllers;
 Be involved in the meetings between different technical disciplines in order to find solutions
to problems indicated by site.
 Be present at the review design meeting as structural engineer, ready to explain the reason
the structural choices.
 Manage the two designer of Microstation, for drawings and checking any eventual clash.
 Perform feasibility studies for the realizations of new structural project on existing plant.

My main responsibility was the oversight of the Structural/ Architectural design and management of
the civil engineering for the 3rd and 4th unit of the nuclear power plant located in Mochovce,
Slovak Republic.
My competences were to:
 Provide oversight and control of the civil engineering design of the power plant developed
by Energoprojekt Praha (structural department of the Nuclear Research Institute). It means
technical supervision of Engineers, Designers and Architects;
 Approve the drawings/designs for construction of more than 30 engineers and the
architectural and structural reports produced by designers, and propose modifications to the
design or the materials. To ensure the production of deliverables as per project
requirements;
 Manage the original project timetable to respect the program of work and to organize direct
actions in case of delay in order to speed up processes where necessary, remaining ever on
line with client’s requirements and quality system.
 Discuss with the structural designers ways to solve issues/problems related to the project,
above all to modify structures in way that they can be in compliance with the new seismic
requirements defined by authority.
 I was involved with my team, in decisions and definition of major changes in design in order
to mitigate the impacts on all related disciplines. At the same time I was present at the
meetings for the presentation of the major changes to the technical authority for approval.
 Check architectural drawings in order to verify the respect of the safety system evaluating all
the features: materials, escaping routes, distances between machineries, electrical safety
system, supported by specialists of related disciplines.
 Organize and take the lead on meetings with the suppliers of engineering;
 Assist the site manager in assessing modifications of design and/ or materials, including
rationalizing with specialized engineers across Enel the best design and/or project inputs;
 Manage information flow between the various engineering firms involved in the design of
the plant- Energoprojekt Praha (Energy Project Prague)- a Nuclear Research Institute and
Enel- the owner of the Nuclear Power Plant and all the other suppliers involved;
 Explain and coordinate local problems/requirements of the structural designers with Enel’s
Project Management and engineering team;
 To perform several inspections on site in order to verify the correct installation of new
structures and to check the old ones; to verify the interfaces between the different
disciplines during the design development and during the erection phase.
 I had supervision of the contracts with other engineering firms in order to check their scope
of work, and their limits on the project.
 I had and high commitment with all the staff in the risk analysis and in the identification of
the hazard related to the executions of different activities.

I managed two main types of projects in Kazakhstan including: Pipeline repair and maintenance, and
installation of new pipelines; and Construction and maintenance of oil and gas processing plants
with related facilities. All the jobs I have performed in Tengiz (SGP/SGI plants) concerned the
Brownfield like expansions or modifications/maintenance of existing units: as Kettle Reboiler
erection, RVP/TVR Reduction Project. In this company - a leader in worldwide construction of oil
and gas pipelines - my responsibilities as a Project Engineer/Project Controller on site were to:
 follow the development of the whole cycle of work, including managing the budget,
overseeing the organization of economic bids, executing the progress of the project,
performing checks on site for verifying compliance between drawings and erection phases
and resolving daily issues as they arose;
 manage and produce Primavera files in order to maintain control on the progress of all
activities, participate actively in the meetings between contractors and clients in all areas of
project design (civil, structural, piping, mechanical..) and management including: safety,
technical queries, bidding, requirements about fabrications of components and materials;
 be present at the site visits with the clients in order to evaluate methods of execution,
deviations and critical points related to jobs;
 verify the requests of materials and check them in order to verify compliance as per client’s
request;
 arrange teams and evaluate the adequate manpower for all the jobs in charge of my
company; verify and check the quantity of equipments useful and available to bring on site;
 coordinate the Sour Gas Injection/Second Generation Plant Turnaround for the
Tengizchevroil plant. As coordinator for my company, I managed relations with the client
and lead all coordination/arrangement of the Pre TA, Execution ad Post TA activities. My
average staff was made up 2 surveyors, 2 mechanical/piping engineers, 3 civil engineers, 1
material coordinator, and 1QA/QC manager. Daily activities included leading meetings,
managing manpower and resources on site, and monitoring the execution of all scopes of
work as the per client schedule. The scope of work was successfully completed for
Tengizchevroil on schedule and with no injuries for workers in my purview. As a result of the
successful completion of this work my company received a recognition certificate for
valuable contribution to safe and successful completion of the 2012 Sour Gas
Injection/Second Generation Plant Turnaround.

The job is regarding an expansion of a gas plant where the wells are subsea and the expansion has
to be done through the installations of modules (booster compressor building, export compressor
building etc..) in the meantime a pipeline called Polarled has been placed subsea from the landfall in
Nyhamna (Ormen Lange) till a well into the arctic circle. The pipeline, which has a diameter of 36
inches, extends from Nyhamna in Møre og Romsdal to the Aasta Hansteen field in the Norwegian
Sea and was laid by the world's largest pipelaying vessel: “Solitaire” from Allseas.
The position covers the following duties:
 Review construction sequence and monitor activities against schedule and report progress
against schedule for both expansion project end landfall area;
 The safe and efficient delivery of construction work in a live gas plant;
 Manage HSE at site during construction;

 Review the Construction schedule;
 Manage receipt, review and approval for construction of Work Packs, maintain Work Pack
approval administration;
 Ensure Pre-Construction readiness checks (engineering, manpower, supervision, materials,
equipment, consumables, MC packs, handover requirement definition) are held;
 Ensure Risk Assessment, Safe Job Analysis and Tool Box Talk are conducted properly;
 Review Permit to Work request is submitted complete and correct to AT technicians;
Coordinate with AT technicians approval of PtW.
 Maintain Work Pack submission administration;
 Check and verify the installation of the modules on site, (all disciplines).

This is a job set as consultancy in Liguria (Italy) about a Multi Purpose Platform which covers surface
of 210,000 m2 and provides a container terminal with a 700 m long rectilinear quay and two highwater-
depth berths: one at the root of the pier (depth: 15,00 m) and the other one at the head
(depth: 20,00 m).
The natural deep waters allow even the last-generation container vessels, with a capacity of more
than 12,000 TEU, to moor safely.
The expected traffic volume ranges between 720,000 and 860,000 TEU per year, which would allow
the port of Savona-Vado to exceed the one-million TEU threshold.
Major responsibilities:
 Design review of the scope for civil, electrical and maritime parts.
