Working as consultant for important multinational client in the field of automotive components. My task was to support and orientate the developement of rotary vanes vacuum pumps and other innovative products through:
- 0-D thermofluid-dynamic simulations and simulation programs developement (using Matlab, Amesim, Excel)
- ideation of new design solutions compatible with product requirements as well as with other constrains (i.e. cost, industrial feasibility, times, patents, etc), combining creativity and deep understanding of physics at the base of the product functions.
- Supporting the testing department with vacuum pumps tests planning and set up
- testing data post processing and analysis
- exchange of information/cooperation with suppliers
- heat transfer calculations
- patents analysis
- clients specifications analysis
