We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented intern to assist with the management of our physical and digital embroidery archive, as well as support our design team with focused research into historical and artistic references.
We are offering an internship opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist in the maintenance and organisation of our embroidery archive - both physical and digital.
This role also involves conducting focused research into references and materials to deepen our understanding of design direction, historical context, and embroidery techniques.
Key Responsibilities.
Archive Management.
• Organize and maintain the physical embroidery archive, ensuring clear labelling and safe storage • Ensure all archives are updated and stored systematically, both physically and digitally • Keep the digital archive system updated daily.
Research Support.
• Assist the design team to make in-depth archive searches and research into historical and artistic references related to embroidery, textiles, art, subcultures, and broader visual culture.
• Assist the design team by retrieving relevant archive samples or visuals when requested Required Skills & Qualities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Background in embroidery, textiles, fashion history, or archival work • Ability to handle delicate materials with care • Comfortable working independently • Strong research skills, including use of books, digital databases, and visual resources • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, file naming and storage) • Languages.
Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written) This internship is ideal for someone studying fashion history, textile design, archival studies, or a related field and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional embroidery studio environment.
