ASSISTANT RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER – SEABIRD

Company Description We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant General Manager to be part of our team for The Hoxton, Southwark in our Seabird restaurant.
The Hoxton, Southwark, the third Hoxton in our hometown of London.
This London borough is known for its colourful history.

Patrons would bet on sport from their barstool, handing fistfuls of cash to the pub’s very own licensed bookie! We have 192 bedrooms, 2 restaurants- Albie & Seabird and our first Working From_ location not just in London but Europe! Albie is our all-day neighbourhood restaurant, serving up familiar classics with a twist, inspired by the diverse international food scene of the surrounding neighbourhood.
Seabird is our rooftop restaurant on the 14th floor, boasting an impressive raw bar, London’s longest oyster list and panoramic views of the city.
In Seabird you can enjoy panoramic views in the heart of Southwark.
Featuring an array of sea-to-table offerings with Portuguese and Spanish influences.
Job Description What you'll do...
Lead the team by example, keep them involved and motivated; help them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hox experiences for our guests.
Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager and Head Chef so that front of house and back of house are working smoothly, hand-in-hand.
Coordinate with Restaurant General  Manager for everyday operation and maintain financial and administrative records.
Organize the proper incorporation of new employees (schedule training).
Create a positive team atmosphere among team members, provide feedbacks and coach them regularly.
Gather customer feedback and recommend improvements.
Work with the whole F&B team to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
Handle guest complaints, ensure satisfaction.
Perform regular inspection of food and beverage preparation and presentation and maintain inventory to enhance sales.
Qualifications What we're looking for… 2 years hotel experience, experience of hotel pre/post-opening would be a plus.
Technical skills with a strong understanding of best practice hotel operations for the role.
You are flexible to work on rotative shifts and on weekends.
Must be fluent in English, additional languages will be highly valuable.
A balance between a methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
