The Palomar’s menu draws from the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Levant – brought to life in an open kitchen centered around a wood fire grill, working with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients from small artisans and growers.

Job Description COME AS YOU ARE & ROCK OUR KITCHEN This is a role for a morning person who wants to join our pre-opening kitchen team.
You’ll be the first to switch on the lights, the heartbeat of our mornings, and the one setting the tone for our guests’ day with simple, thoughtful and flavourful breakfast plates.
Whether it’s a flaky pastry from our bakery or the perfect poached egg, your attention to detail and pride in your craft will bring comfort, delight and a reason for our guests to keep coming back.
A DAY IN YOUR APRON Take charge of the breakfast section and lead service with confidence and calm; Prepare and plate consistently high-quality dishes with a focus on seasonality and flavour; Work closely with the front of house team to ensure smooth early operations; Keep your section clean, organised and prepped for the next shift; Follow food safety and hygiene standards to the letter; Be a morning mentor, helping train and support junior kitchen staff where needed.
Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen; You love mornings and thrive during early shifts; You have proven experience motivating a diverse kitchen team in a high-pressure environment; Excellent organisational skills, you know how to work clean, stay focused and stay ahead; Confidence with eggs, pastries and beautifully balanced breakfast dishes; You have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff and other departments.
