ROLE The Climate Risk Analyst will contribute to ongoing local, European, and international research projects in the fields of climate adaptation, resilience, risk assessment, and nature-based solutions\/approaches.
REQUIREMENTS Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Hydrology, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Oceanography, Geography, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field Background and\/or experience in one or more of the following areas.
Risk Assessment, Hydrologic\/Hydrodynamic Modeling, Hazard Modelling, Large Climate Dataset Analysis, Nature-Based Solutions\/Approaches, Remote Sensing, Extreme Value Statistics or related topics Basic quantitative and programming skills or a willingness to learn Interest in supporting stakeholder engagement activities Willingness to contribute to proposal and scientific writing Ability to work on diverse and interdisciplinary teams Strong problem-solving abilities Willingness to travel and participate in online and remote events.
Proficiency in English (working language at CMCC\/RAAS).
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
The Climate Risk ANalyst will be based in Venice CMCC office.
Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
Flexible working time as per internal policies.
Support during the immigration process, if needed.
