The Advanced Digital Innovation Center (ADIC) at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), located in Lecce, is looking for 2 talented and enthusiastic Cloud System Administrators (Senior and\/or Junior).
In this role, they will contribute to the development of hybrid cloud\/HPC environments and the deployment of applications and services on Cloud platforms (e.
., Kubernetes-based).

ROLE    A Senior Cloud System Administrator reports to the ADIC center and is responsible for designing and developing hybrid cloud\/HPC solutions and services for climate\/environmental Big Data.
A Junior Cloud System Administrator reports to the ADIC center and provides IT support working closely with the other members of the team to design, deploy and maintain the hybrid cloud\/HPC solutions and services for climate\/environmental Big Data.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Cloud System Administrator will support the ADIC center with.
deployment and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services; management of containerized applications using tools like Docker or Kubernetes; design, development and integration of large-scale climate\/environmental data management services and workflows in cloud-based or HPC infrastructures; continuously updating knowledge on emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS   Master Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent fields; Minimum of 2 (Junior)\/5 (Senior) years of work experience with cloud architectures and related technologies; Very good knowledge of the English language; Accuracy and good analytical skills; Knowledge of HPC environments; Relevant experience with containerization (i.
., Docker) and orchestration solutions (e.
., Kubernetes); Demonstrated experience with Linux environment, bash scripting and software setup & configuration; Good experience in programming with Python; Experience with version control system tools (i.
., Git\/GitHub); Flexibility to work on a diverse range of tasks and to manage deadlines.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
The Managers will be based in Lecce CMCC office.
The appointment period will be initially of 12 months starting as soon as possible, renewable pending a positive evaluation, with a gross annual salary range based on qualification and working experience and competitive with major research centers in Europe.
