The Food Security Information Network (FSIN) is a global initiative co-sponsored by FAO FEWS NET IFPRI IPC JRC and WFP hosted by WFP APP.
It is a neutral platform for exchanging expertise knowledge and best practices and developing harmonised methods measurements and analysis.
The FSIN main activities consist of.
1)facilitating global and regional analytical products such as the annual Global Report on Food Crises(GRFC) and its by-products food security monitoring reports to the UN Security Council and updateswith more than 15 partner organisations;2)supporting activities related to Resilience Measurement upon request and3)facilitating support to regional or national food security information systems (upon request).
The Secretariat requires graphic design support for its publications related communication materials and design elements for the website/platform.
This service is required for 9 months starting in August .
The incumbent will report to the FSIN Global Coordinator and will work in close collaboration with other members of the FSIN Secretariat ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES.
The overall responsibility is to ensure the implementation and adherence to existing graphic design guidelines; layout of reports and publications; design of innovative products and design of elements for the website/platform.

Contribute to the ongoing design of the FSIN website by sharing the design component of FSIN publications; 8.
Perform other tasks as required to support FSIN communications.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT.

High-quality design for the GRFC in line with FSIN branding requirements and within specific deadlines; 2.
High-quality design/lay-out for the GRFC executive summary abridged version and other communication material.

High-quality design for the regional reports on food crises and mid-year report.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Experience.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Application (eg.
InDesign Illustrator Over ten years of professional experience (preferably in an international context) in graphic design.
Strong lay-out skills; Photoshop etc.) Languages.
A graduate or post-graduate university degree in Graphic Design Art or related field Extensive experience in designing similar products Knowledge English.
Education.
Familiarity with social media platforms and knowledge of best practices for (brochures newsletters factsheets reports web pages presentations etc.) A proven record of developing clear and professional communication materials & Skills.
