GAZ AND SAILS MECHANIC ENGINEER FOR ORIENT EXPRESS SAILING YACHTS

We are looking for GAZ and Sails Mechanic Engineer ready to join cruise vessel ORIENT EXPRESS, embarkation is in October , contract 2 months on/off MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
Effective maintenance of LNG and Sails machinery as directed by the Staff Engineer.
Providing support to the Navigation Officer in the overall management of the sails.
The job is normally out of the watch but the Gas and Sails (G&S) Engineer could potentially assume engine watches as Engine Officer of the watch upon Staff Engineer or Chief Engineer order.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION u00b7        2nd Engineerus License - STCW Reg.
II/2 u00b7         Maintain current STCW certification.
u00b7         Completed Advanced Fire-Fighting training.
u00b7         General knowledge skills applicable to the various systems on board Companyus vessels.
u00b7         Ability to interpret ship's plans and prints, draw engineering plans and prepare job orders.
u00b7         Hydraulic maintenance skills and knowledge u00b7         LNG system maintenance skills and knowledge u00b7         Good communication skills.
u00b7         Ability to plan projects, assign priorities, resolve problems and to work without supervision.
u00b7         Ability to supervise others.

Key Responsibilities The Gas & Sails Machinery Officer is responsible to the Staff Engineer for.
u00b7         Maintaining the LNG Installation  u00b7         Maintaining the machinery of the sails systems, mainly hydraulic but supervising the electronic and electric parts together with the Chief Electrician u00b7         Adopting safe working practices and promoting the safety spirit among his team and the crew u00b7         Undertaking any other tasks assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or Staff Engineer, and any other maintenance tasks managed by the Navigation Officer for the Sails u00b7         During the eventual watch, the G&S Engineer shall require additional personnel assistance to maintain the safe operations of the ship at any time during his watch when any significant malfunction or abnormality continues to occur in the machinery or monitoring system.
u00b7         Under the direction of the Staff-Engineer and Chief Engineer, the G&S engineer of the watch shall be responsible for the inspection, operation and testing, as required, of all machinery and equipment under his responsibility.
u00b7         Responsible for keeping the Staff Engineer and Chief Engineer advised regarding the material status of the vessel and assigned equipment.
u00b7         Ensures that at all times, bridge orders relating to changes in speed or direction and sails settings are immediately implemented.
u00b7         The Engineer Officer in charge of the watch shall immediately notify the bridge in the event of.

u00b7         Executes all preventive maintenance, voyage and emergency repairs to the vessel as per Staff Engineer orders and in collaboration with the Navigation Officer in charge of the sails management u00b7         Assists the Staff Engineer with the preparation of shipyard job specifications.
