Job Title.
Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook Location.
Chelsea, London (SW3) Days/Hours.
4 days per week – Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays (flexibility to shift Monday if needed) | Salary.
£ gross per hour Start Date.
ASAP Overview We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and proactive Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to join a warm and well-organised private household in Chelsea.
The family includes two principals, their newborn baby (cared for by a full-time Nanny), and two affectionate cats.
You will work alongside the existing full-time Housekeeper, who is present Monday to Friday.
This role covers four days, including weekends, with two overlapping days for teamwork and continuity.
Excellent communication, a cooperative mindset, and a consistently high standard of care are essential.
The property is a spacious six-storey townhouse - each floor has designated rooms and functions.
Ground floor.
Office, bedroom, bathroom, hallway, laundry room First floor.
Kitchen, dining room, guest WC, hallway Second floor.
Large living room, terrace Third floor.
Walk-in closet Fourth floor.
Master bedroom, walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom Fifth floor.
Guest bathroom Sixth floor.
Three guest bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms Key Responsibilities Full housekeeping duties.
cleaning, tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining high standards across all six floors Laundry and ironing, including care for delicate, designer, and high-end garments Changing bed linens and ensuring household organisation is maintained Preparing simple, healthy, family-style meals Running light errands and providing flexible support where needed Working closely with the full-time Housekeeper to ensure consistency and efficiency Supporting the smooth running of a well-managed and respectful home Additional Responsibilities (Desirable) House and pet sitting during family holidays (typically up to two weeks), with additional pay Administering insulin injections to one of the family’s cats — full training will be provided Candidate Requirements Proven experience in private households, ideally with longevity in previous roles Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills with a high attention to detail Trustworthy, discreet, and professional with a positive, can-do attitude Comfortable around newborns (no direct childcare duties required) Confident and friendly around pets, especially cats Good level of spoken and written English preferred A strong team player with clear communication and a collaborative approach Flexible, dependable, and looking for a long-term position
