ROLE The candidate will provide first-level support to users, mainly for macOS devices, as well as offer hands-on assistance during video conferencing meetings.
Additional activities include network and Linux server administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES   The candidate will work in close collaboration with the central IT function, and the activities will be carried out in compliance with internal procedures and IT guidelines.
Provide technical support to CMCC staff for hardware and software issues, with a focus on Apple devices (MacBooks, iMacs).
Provide support with the administration of a server room (small set of Linux servers used for data processing, storage, and data transfer).
Diagnose and resolve issues related to.
network connectivity, peripherals, printers productivity software (e.
., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
Video conferencing support Support onboarding of new users (device setup, account creation, workstation preparation).
Play an active role in protecting CMCC from cyber threats and ensuring that IT security best practices are followed.
Log incidents and interventions accurately.
REQUIREMENTS Previous experience as IT Helpdesk or similar support role Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology; Candidates with a degree in a scientific discipline will also be considered.
Strong knowledge of macOS systems and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of GNU\/Linux system administration Knowledge of network administration Practical knowledge of video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, Meet) and AV setups in meeting rooms.
Basic Windows support is a plus.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a user-support focused attitude.
Good written and spoken English skills, particularly in technical contexts.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
The Junior IT Specialist will be based in Bologna CMCC premises.
The appointment period will be initially of 24 months starting from September\/October  , with a gross annual salary range between 21 and 28K Euros depending on qualification and working experience.
Fully on-site position Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
Support during the immigration process, if needed.
