Junior Network and Security Administrator Deadline September 15th, WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR CMCC High Performance Computing Center (HPCC) is looking for a Junior Network and Security Administrator to implement, maintain, secure and support our growing network infrastructure.
You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet CMCC research objectives and SLAs.

ROLE The Junior Network and Security Administrator will report to the HPCC Director and to the Network and Security Manager, maintaining a respectful, professional, and collaborative attitude at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Junior Network and Security Administrator will support Cyber Security team, with.
configuring and managing network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, etc.) to ensure the security and efficiency of business operations; monitoring network performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks; maintaining network security policies, ensuring compliance with current regulations; collaborating with the IT management team to define and update access and authentication policies.
promptly responding to security incidents, conducting incident analysis, and preparing response plans; conducting regular incident response drills and updating emergency plans based on the results obtained; maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations, changes made, and incidents managed; generating periodic reports on monitoring activities, identified risks, and mitigation measures implemented.
REQUIREMENTS   M.
c.
degree (or equivalent working experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other scientific disciplines (i.
., physics, mathematics)  Good knowledge of Network protocols.
ISO\/OSI architecture, TCP\/IP stack; Good knowledge of Optical fiber transmission technologies; Good knowledge of Operating systems for network equipment Good knowledge of Programming languages.
Python; Good knowledge of Automation of assignments.
Ansible; Good knowledge about monitoring system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning; Provide Level-2\/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues; Liaise with other IT personnel for problem resolution; Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools; Good knowledge of Linux systems and network services administration;  Good knowledge of UNIX\/Linux operating systems and script languages (i.
., *nix shell); Strong attitude to work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure; Hands-on experience with selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team; Basic experience writing detailed incident response reports; Basic experience installing and operating firewalls, encryption programs, and other security software; Fluency in English.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS.
Hands-on experience with configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.
., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS); Hands-on experience with performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations; Hands-on experience with monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability; Hands-on experience with Monitoring network traffic for security incidents and events; Hands-on experience with Investigating incidents and responding to events in real time; Hands-on experience with fixing vulnerabilities; SOFT SKILLS.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

CMCC Headquarters in Lecce, Italy Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
