As  Maritime Works Engineer, in the multidisciplinary Marine project environment, you will join our Department/Function Civil Structural and Architectural Department, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities.
Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Leader, related with marine structures concept and design, verification and checking activities, in order to ensure compliance with project requirements in terms of budget, time schedule and quality standards.
Interface with the other discipline specialists to gather information and coordinate activities performed inside or outside the Company.
Provide technical support to Maritime Works Leader and/or Technical and Project Management in technical interface with Client.
Provide technical support for the development of technological skills, for commercial aspects and for the feasibility / constructability phases.
Develop layout of maritime structures Prepare sketches for studies and pre-design of maritime works, pursuing objectivies of sound design practice and optimizes in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safety Prepare MTOs and BOQs Prepare Material Specifications for Marine Structures construction materials (e.
.
geotextiles, rocks, tie-rods, piles and sheetpiles, concrete precast elements, steel reinforcement, bearings, exp.
joints) and marine equipment (e.
.
fenders, bollards).
Liaise with Construction Method Department for set-up of the construction sequence to check maritime structures during both temporary and operational phases Develop studies and calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works, steel structures (including connection details), mooring and berthing system, retaining system, intake and outfall system and basins, structures/modules subject to lifting and maneuvering, roadways subject to heavy traffic and lifting activities Prepare the scope of work and technical documentation for Marine Works contracts (e.
.
dredging and reclamation, jetties, quaywalls), align the bidders technical proposals and issue the technical bid tabulation Undertake site visits and travel, as well as mid-to-long term assignment abroad as required Writing proposals, planning, and running of small to medium projects QUALIFICATION.
Civil engineering (structural engineering master degree) Civil engineering for risk mitigation (structural/geotechnical address) KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

Microsoft Office package Software and tools for structural design (such as SAP, STAAD PRO, SACS and similar) Basic knowledge of geotechnical software and tools for the design of piles foundations and retaining structures (PARATIE, AMRETAIN), and familiarity with input and output from software for slopes stability and FEM analysis (SLOPE, PLAXIS, etc.) Basic knowledge of tools related to 2D drawing and 3D modeling (CAD, TEKLA STRUCTURES) LOCATION.
