Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Regional HSE Specialist for Real Estate and play a crucial role in enhancing our company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture.
You will create, evaluate and administer operational health and safety programs for all workers at construction sites; inspect, monitor and evaluate the site HSE programs for value and effectiveness; analyze safety concerns and recommend solutions to the appropriate manager; and conduct investigations of site incidents, some of which may require litigation.
This is an exciting opportunity to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement as a subject matter expert.

Location.
Homebased with travel Europe wide.

Drive a culture of safety and sustainability.
Prioritize HSE in all decision-making processes, employ risk management and strategic planning, ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's standards and regulations, and promote Net-Zero targets.
Foster an initiative-taking HSE culture.
Collaborate with the HSE function, Real Estate Regional Leads, Country Real Estate Managers, and Project Managers to increase awareness, engage team members in HSE programs, and promote a learning culture.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Align projects, from construction to facilities management, with Hitachi Energy's HSE Operating System, and country and local legislation.
Develop and maintain HSE competency.
Equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and responsibly.
Support supplier and contractor management.
Collaborate with external parties to ensure they adhere to Hitachi Energy's HSE standards.
Your Background.
Proven experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and standards.
Ability to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
Proven ability to develop and implement HSE programs and initiatives.
