August 6th, WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) is seeking one or two bright research assistants to contribute to the analysis of the political economy of climate policy, within the framework of ongoing Horizon Europe projects.
The successful candidate(s) will support research teams in investigating the political dynamics that shape climate policy.
The researchers will work in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to a growing body of evidence aimed at informing climate policy design and implementation.

ROLE The successful candidate(s) will work within the European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE), one of the three CMCC Institutes.
EIEE stands at the intersection of environment and economics, evaluating sustainable and socially inclusive strategies to combat climate change and other major environmental challenges.
EIEE is committed to improving environmental, energy, and natural resource decisions through impartial socio-economic research and policy engagement.
EIEE is a central hub for research insights and policy solutions, within Europe and internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidates are expected to work closely with our teams, developing research on the political dynamics of climate policy.
Possible tasks include, but are not limited to.
Supporting the team in designing and analyzing general population surveys Supporting the team in designing and collecting data for elite and stakeholder surveys Supporting the team’s work on systematic reviews of the climate policy literature Supporting the team’s computational text analysis work REQUIREMENTS   Master Degree in economics, political science, or any related fields.
Strong quantitative and econometric background Fluency in programming languages such as R, python, and STATA.
Familiarity with survey design, data collection, and analysis Familiarity with Qualtrics Fluency in English, good presentation and writing skills Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and diverse environment committed to high-quality research.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS   The position will be based in Milan CMCC office.
The appointment period will be for 4\/5 months.
Contract and gross salary will be based on qualifications and working experience and competitive with major research centers in Europe.
