Job Description GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES.
Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa’s culture and service standards and reflects the values of Velaa Private Island.
Prepare and present authentic Italian dishes, ensuring taste, texture, and presentation meet luxury dining standards..
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design themed dinners, chef’s tables, and seasonal specials.
Ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in regional Italian dishes, from fresh pasta and risotto to artisanal pizza and desserts, while adapting recipes to meet the expectations of an international fine-dining audience.
Perform any other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications SKILL REQUIREMENTS.
A minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef specializing in Italian cuisine at a 5-star resort/hotel.
Knowledge to create elegantly designed offerings for high-profile guests.
Experience in Maldives or with living in remote locations will be a plus.
Good command of written & spoken English.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills & confident to anticipate and manage processes.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Food safety certification preferred.
Highly skilled in authentic cuisine Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
