Responsibilities Job Summary Hands-on and strategic Tech Lead manages a team of 6–10 engineers.
Lead the digital strategy, development, and execution of WeChat Mini Programs and AI-powered tools to drive sales, engagement, and efficiency across distributor channels and farmer networks in China.
Work closely with product, marketing, agronomy experts, and data/AI teams to build systems that enhance how agricultural businesses connect with their customers across China.
Responsibilities.
Lead the end-to-end development of WeChat Mini Programs focused on agri-retail use cases such as digital stores, marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, farmer Q&A, and advisory tools.
Ensure code quality, team velocity, documentation, and maintainability through best practices and code reviews.
Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions using modern front-end and cloud-native technologies.
Mentor junior developers and help build a high-performing, mission-driven tech culture.
Manage the development team using Agile/Scrum practices — including sprint planning, retrospectives, and team stand-ups.
Collaborate with stakeholders across product, business, marketing, and agronomy teams to deliver valuable features and improvements.
Use Cloud (AWS, Alicloud) services for hosting, backend functions, and data pipelines — including ECS, RDS, OSS, and Function Compute.
Support data-driven decision-making by building pipelines, customer tagging systems, and BI dashboards (e.
., Quick BI, DataV).
Drive the integration of AI (chatbots, predictive analytics, recommendation engines) to enhance user experience and sales conversions.
Explore generative AI for personalized content, automated customer support, and dynamic pricing tools.
Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 8+ years of hands-on development experience, with 2+ years in a tech leadership or project management role Deep experience in WeChat Mini Program development, including WXML, WXSS, JavaScript/TypeScript,  Proven track record in AI/digital innovation, Experience working with AI/ML-powered features in real-world applications (e.
., recommendation engines, chatbots, NLP).
Proficient in Cloud services (ECS, OSS, RDS, Function Compute, etc.) and cloud-native application design Strong understanding of data infrastructure, customer tagging, CRM integration, and BI tools like Quick BI, DataV, or similar Solid project management skills with proven ability to deliver complex software projects under tight timelinesx Strong understanding of B2B2C sales models, farmer engagement, and China’s digital landscape.
Familiar with agriculture or agri-retail business processes and user personas is a strong plus.
Fluency in English and Mandarin (required).
