What Were Looking For We are looking for a VP of Finance.
a strategic partner to the CEO a future leader who will be instrumental in architecting the next chapter of Axyon AIs growth.
Our perfect candidate is a doer at hearta proactive and commercially-minded financial professional who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build a world-class finance function from the ground up.
You are hungry for a challenge and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
Crucially you have a proven track record in the tech or scaleup ecosystem and have been through the fundraising trenches before.
You understand the unique dynamics and players of the investment management sector.
You will be the trusted co-pilot to the CEO shaping our business plan owning our financial model and articulating our story to top-tier international investors.
This role is a direct path to becoming our CFO.
Location & Work Mode Modena Italy On-site Full-time What Youll Be Doing Fundraising.
Co-lead the design and execution of our next funding round from preparing the business plan and financial modelling to managing the due diligence process and investor negotiations.
Strategic Financial Planning.
Structure and model the business plan and business KPIs translating the companys vision into a financial roadmap that resonates with investors.
Investor & Board Relations.
Own financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders preparing insightful monthly reports board packs and financial presentations that drive strategic decisions.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management.
Develop and execute effective treasury strategies to optimise liquidity and manage cash flow ensuring the companys financial stability through its high-growth phase.
Operational Excellence.
Build and scale our financial operations implementing best-in-class processes and systems (ERP) to enhance efficiency accuracy and compliance.
Cross-Functional Partnership.
Work closely with all departments to support financial planning budget management and strategic initiatives fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
What You Need Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management ideally with a portion of that time spent in a fast-growing technology-driven company (e.
.
scaleup venture-backed tech firm).
Knowledge of the dynamics of the investment management industry.
Experience in venture capital fundraising.
Ideally you have been key in securing funding in a previous role.
Strong expertise in financial planning modelling and reporting.
Hands-on experience with Italian GAAP (OIC) is required; knowledge of IFRS and IAS is a plus.
You are as comfortable building a complex financial model as presenting it to the board.
Proven ability to manage cash flow treasury and cost control processes to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
Experience in ERP systems financial automation and process optimisation to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with internal teams investors auditors and other external partners.
Fluency in English (C2 both written and spoken) is mandatory.
