Product development for air conditioning distribution system defining composite parts as ducts and diffusers and sheet metal parts for executive jets; B.O.M.; providing solutions for new products; trade studies; interfacing with other members of project and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives; assisting the manufacturing staff at assembly field to assure the proper installation of the system, proposing alternative solutions to solve installation difficulties, model preparation and optimization in a parametric Catia V5 surface for CFD analysis to improve the airflow and decrease the pressure drop at the development phase; Ice accretion design for flight test development with Aerodynamics and System Engineering liaison in a monitoring test at Goodrich Icing Wind Tunnel at OH – USA in AUG/2010.
Installation leader designer for Embraer Legacy 500 program on the complete ice shapes deatailing and installation at certification campaign, supporting the company engineering, and technical staff to guarantee the integrity and the correct ice shapes installation, reporting directly to the ice test campaign manager reducing time for ice shapes installation and proposing new materials on a specific standard for ice shapes reducing time for manufacturing staff and aircraft on ground before simulated ice test campaign.
Participate of initial tests for the forward e-bay smoke evacuation on Legacy 500 (executive jet) during certification campaign, supporting the system engineer with different system design to evacuate the smoke from the forward e-bay and to avoid the smoke to get inside the cockpit to meet the FAA pre-requisites.
Participation on a redesign of an air outlet valve, proposing the material change based on thermal transfer, to avoid condensation at the outer skin of the valve. Interfacing with the manufacturing staff to meet the date of the test at the aircraft and validating the redesign of the valve at the test campaign.
