Ingegnere di pista / race engineer

I mainly work on SF90 Stradale project and I deal with Vehicle Software Debug activities, in particular for SEE (Electric and Electronic Systems) and Infotainment SW. I’m responsible for: 
•	SW validation and verification during daily road tests 
•	Interaction with the Drivers who perform tests in car
•	Detection, analysis and management of SW bugs
•	First level diagnosis about drivers’ reports and, if necessary, second level diagnosis in collaboration with specialists of the components
•	Preparation of cars with data acquisition instrumentation (protocol CAN, LIN, CCP / XCP, analog sensors, etc.)
•	Analysis and post-processing of recorded data
•	Dedicated tests in the car to replicate and/or analyze anomalies
•	Vehicle SW updates

I worked on all Maserati projects and also on Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. 
My responsibilities included: 
•	Analysis (pre and post-processing) of all data recorded during transmission durability tests (Road Load Data);
•	Generation of fatigue reports for all Driveline components in order to validate them for their entire useful life;
•	Active role in the definition of the duty cycles and the validation plans (DVP&R) of the components (in particular for what concerns  electric axles and hybrid powertrains);
•	Definition of the requirements that must be followed during bench test activities (functional, performance, durability, climate, etc.); 
•	Contribution to the validation of simulation models and of the driving simulator (Static and Dynamic) through the correlation with experimental data (Hardware / Driver in the Loop)

This internship is about the development of my Master Degree's thesis.
The thesis is about the design and analysis of an innovative swingwarm for Moto2 racing motorbike. In particular, the topics developed are:
- Revison of previuos framework design;
- Structural analysis of the original swingarm;
- Design and structural analysis of the new swingarm, made by an outer structure of alluminium and a carbon fiber inner wall as reinforcement.

- All-Inkl.com Munnich Motorsport, WTCC 2017 test at Monza National Autodrome with 2012 WTCC World Champion Robert Huff.

- ARC-Team Engineering (Pavia) with professional F3 and F2 driving simulator.

- Hexathron Racing System and PB Racing with the participation of 2007 WTCC World Champion in Yokohama Independents’ Throphy Stefano d’Aste and professional driver Alex J. Fontana;

- Autotecnica Motori (Casalmaggiore, CR) with Giovanni Delfino.

Master course held by Marco Calovolo and his team of race engineers.

Mater course organized by Mario Manganelli of Aprilia Racing with the collaboration of other Motorsport engineers and People Design company.

I got my Bachelor's degree in September 2012 and I'll get Master of Science Degree in February/March 2018.
