KROHNE is a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of solutions in industrial process
instrumentation in the Oil & Gas Sector.
The role consists in providing instrumental solutions for Oil & Gas Companies all over the
world;
I operate mainly in two working areas:
- Instrument project on Flow measuring or Level measuring instruments, to provide solutions
in plants where these type of measure are required;
- Engineering project, related to Sampling plants: where Oil or Gas must be Sampled
(Fiscal measure) to verify its composition: on shore - off shore plants.
The main activities are:
- verifying the specifications of the project related to the offer's request;
- considering the design required by client and identify possible issues;
- preparing preliminar sizing for the chosen solution and analizing the technical
documentation;
- preparing technical and commercial proposals;
- preparing technical queries (TQR table) and project's follow up to find the best solution
and get the necessary clarifications by client;
- preparing the material requisitions: this is necessary both for relating directly with Krohne
factories and with other factories;
- organizing and filling the costs sheets, Commercial documentation and BOM.

The role is related to the management of energy flows at the level of electricity in the short
and long term.
The key point is to be efficient and brilliant in every operation, where the energy
commitment is directly related to the financial commitment: the objective is to manage
the energy volumes to get maximum profits.
I am involved and I carry on some strategies to achieve my goals:
- speculations on the Italian electricity market: the model combines the macro-zones with
the most profitable prices, comparing the prices of the Day-ahead market with those of
the infra-daily markets, for the purposes of purchase or sale.3
In addition, a further strategy linked to the MSD market evaluates the management of
volumes to guarantee the needs of the final customers, modifying them in relation to a
forecast of the signs (positive: long zone, negative: short area) of the Italian electrical
macro-areas;
- management of about 10 percent of ATC (Allocated Transfer Capacity at European
level) on the borders of interest, where the scenarios are based on different time horizons
(annual, monthly, daily) due to the market logic.
The main exchanges concern Switzerland, Germany and France.
The technical specific skills are:
- guarantee the supply of energy necessary for final customers;
- monitor the power curve produced by the managed plants (wind and hydroelectric
power plants);
- supervision of the electric transport lines which connect the foreign countries to Italy (and
vice versa);
- analyze market data (past, present and future) and put them in relation to today's
situations, providing reports and graphs;
- drafting and processing of energy exchange contracts (Balance Group Contract) with
foreign counterparties;
- teamwork and connection with commercial roles abroad.
This task has allowed strong interconnection among technical, analytical and managerial
functions up to relational skills

The evolution of competitive IT projects has allowed the development of the main
consulting skills: process of analysis and investigation of customers and business’s needs,
through the design and construction of the required solutions.
Execution as a consultancy system analyst of consultancy activities: participation in the
analysis with the client, verbal drafting, preparation of the training material, execution,
testing activities, basic configuration of the SAP; in particular, the interface used in the
projects is mainly SAP BW (Business Warehouse).
Repair and integration of data structures and non-functioning data streams, economic
