Production manager / operations manager

I work as Head of improvement projects at Huhtamaki Flexibles Italy driving Lean Manufacturing;
•	I am currently working as a Project Leader to improve quality and processes by applying the Lean 6 Sigma tools with the constant integration of security and operating with tight constraints (BRC, HCCP);
•	I lead & manage dedicated teams (5 – 45 people) composed of personnel from all departments such as Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Safety, Quality, IT.;
•	Evaluate economic impacts of processes and related projects (Capex, Opex) and collaborate with CFO & Management in order to define the Company Budget according to objectives of the production process;
•	Ensure operating performances (efficiency) & optimize productivity capacity according to production planning;
•	Solve quality problems, starting from customer’s needs, applying Root Cause Analysis;
•	Definition, standardization & analysis of operational KPIs;
•	Teaching about: Lean tools, Statistical Analysis (using Minitab), Project Management;
•	Some projects:
1)	TPM on machines (100k€ of saving); 2) Development of Cost Deployment 4) Consumables optimization (- 33% of annual cost);  5) OEE Calculation; 6) SMED & Setup Reduction (avg savings by each family of 100k€ / year ) 7)  VSM

•	Analysis of production processes to optimize costs and implementation of the Lean logic ( DMAIC, PDCA,8D);
•	Smed on Production department, in particular on gear cutting machines to reduce set up time (-30%);
•	Analysis of the "As is" situation by setting up setup times;
•	Standardization of setup phases - outsourcing (in hidden time) critical phases – SMED (Times & Method);

•	Analysis of production and organizational processes to optimize costs and efficiency with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (TPM, SMED, 5S, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis...), operating with very tight constraints (GMP);
•	Creation of a Lean Program (metrics, tools, KPIs ...);
•	Optimization of consumables (simulation in Matlab, data analysis with JMP) _ Savings = -700k€ of annual costs;
•	Lean Lab (5S, Visual Management, Spaghetti Chart, 8D, RACI...);
•	SMED Design for a new production line - production capacity simulation;
•	Manage and maintain a high level of staff involvement.

•	Engineering Academy of Scuderia Toro Rosso;
•	Materials & people management - single-piece parts responsibility;
•	Manage and negotiate with critical suppliers;
•	Knowledge of manufacturing processes (milling, turning, electroerosion, sintering, molding ...);
•	Make or buy evaluation of the car parts and KPI definition to evaluate the suppliers.

In this experience I have learned to manage stress, people and plan work to respect the design deadlines.

•	Data analysis of the production process for yield improvement;
•	Knowledge of fusion processes, refining (VOD, AOD), plastic deformation (lamination), finishing;
•	Coordinated the project from conception to implementation;
•	Project experimentation.implementation & Statistical control of the post implementation process through Minitab;
•	Title of the experimental thesis: “Analysis of the bottleneck of a plant that produces steel; the TKAST case ".
