As Producer,

I was involved in every aspect of the production, from helping to generate the Event Management Plan - including documents such as risk assessment and safety policy - to organise events for the Festival such as onsite and remote Q&A Sessions, Masterclasses, Breakfast with the Filmmakers, and film screenings. 
My job as Producer also included assisting the Technical Director to identify technical requirements and sourcing equipment for screenings and events in relation to event planning. I also liaised with suppliers regarding collection and delivery of advertising material, film prints, posters etc.. My job also included assisting with financial administration and keeping track of receipts and petty cash. Assisting in venues where necessary as venue management support. Additionally I had to liaise with filmmakers and other talents involved in the films to book their flights, airport transfers, and accommodation.

As a Programme Coordinator, tasks included:

•	Research and solicit eligible films for consideration from various sources 
•	Create and maintain highly organised tracking systems for incoming films, films to be solicited etc. 
•	Coordinate logistics of Associate Programmers for Guth Gafa, including: 
o	Distribution of screeners links
o	Tracking and organising screener evaluations
o	Management of feedback and scoring 
o	Creation and maintenance of shortlists	
o	Work closely with the Programme Curator to screen and invite films for Guth Gafa 
o	Preparation, collection, and tracking of paid screener invoices
•	Work closely with the Festival Director to slot films into screening dates/times
•	Work closely with the Festival Director to distribute vital information to confirmed filmmakers such as required materials and screening dates and times. 
•	Act as main point of contact for filmmakers and distributors on collection of materials for confirmed films, including stills, electronic press kits, posters, trailers, etc 
•	Work closely with the Technical Director to format and organise film-related materials for website and printed materials usage 
•	Oversee all print shipping responsibilities, including: 
o	Manage shipping and return of all exhibition media
o	Organise related invoices and bills for Festival Director approval 	
o	Follow-upon all shipping related payments
        and reimbursements

Working on a feature length observational documentary, translating footage from Italian to English. 

As a researcher, my day-to-day tasks included sourcing video clips and examining archives for film, video and photographic material to be used in documentaries. Part of my job was to identify, negotiate fees for, and conclude copyright clearances and legal issues relating to all brought in materials used in the documentary, including archive materials, intellectual property etc. I also had to ensure that all relevant broadcast territories were covered. As a researcher, my job also included sourcing contacts and contributors for another documentary in development stage.

As an editor assistant my job was logging the footage for the editor as well as writing subtitles with Avid editing software.

Running my own wedding video company, shooting with Canon 550 D and editing with Final Cut Pro 6.0.6. video promos, kids school plays and mostly weddings in documentary style.

My duty was overseeing the continuity of the film including wardrobe, props, set dressing, hair, makeup and the actions of the actors during a scene.

Rosebud - Short Film by Anna Byrne in collaboration with Galway Film Centre as a part of the 2008 Graduate of the Year Award. 
Scouting and booking the locations, carrying out risks assessment, ensuring that health and safety measures were enforced.

Water’s Edge – Student Short Film by Dave Matthew Boyle.

Practical experience in breaking down the script, budgeting, preparing production papers such as call sheets, location agreements, release forms along with booking the equipment, the locations, props and the actors, organising transport and food on location. As a producer, my job also included following the post-production process and making sure that the agreed deadline was met. Part of my job was also sitting in the edit suite with the director and the editor of the film.

Filming the concert “3volution” by Lucia Evans 2009 at the Town Hall Theatre in Galway.

Filming with Sony Z1 the main festival events such as masterclasses, public interviews, pitching competition and award ceremony. Also responsible for the booking and supervision of the equipment for the duration of the festival.

St. Isidore, Rome - Documentary by Donal Haughey.

Responsible for obtaining permission to shoot on the streets of Rome city centre. Also responsible for organising booking and the delivery of the equipment. My job also involved assisting the producer with detailed information about key venues. In post-production, my job was transcribing the interviews of the contributors.

My job was assisting production to run smoothly and helping camera and sound operators to carry the equipment around.

Bród-Out in the Streets – Documentary by Paul Gouldsbury

Tasks included scouting locations, sourcing contributors and archival materials. Part of my job was also working as sound assistant and boom operator.

Glor Tire - Music Talent TV Show on TG4 (3 seasons)

My tasks included assisting production to run smoothly, setting up the makeup room, and ensuring health and safety requirements. I was also responsible for setting up the green room and looking after the artists and the crew

The MA in Film Production & Direction is a course that offers training in Directing, Producing, Camera, Sound, Lighting, and Editing.
