My professional education was at Politecnico di Milano, where I took Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology. During these academic years I acquired technical know-how of chemistry and physics of many families of materials and nanotechnologies, their technological applications, devices and characterization techniques.
Furthermore, I obtained a scientific/engineering method for problem solving, employed and experienced especially in the Bachelor and Master Degree thesis. They consisted in experimental projects in laboratory (6 and 9 months respectively) structured as follows: bibliographic research in order to get a full picture of the state of the art, purpose and background of the scientific topic. Operative research in laboratory was targeted on the improvement of specific parameters with One Variable At Time (OVAT) and factorial experiments. Samples were characterized through advanced techniques (SEM, XRD, spectrophotometer…) and the results of the experiments were elaborated with software like Microsoft Excel, Origin and Minitab. Results were finally summarized and reorganized in a written detailed report. These experiences grew my attraction for research projects in chemical and scientific fields.
