Working with the Office 365 sales team I drive Office 365 business for scaling productivity in the Italian subsidiary.

Office 365 is a strategic ‘cloud’ initiative for our company and is the key growth engine for Microsoft’s Enterprise Business: I’m responsible for selling and deploying  Office 365 to our Enterprise customers in a direct model and/or partner model, working very closely with all the account teams in the field. 

Office 365 is a cloud service that provides email and calendaring through Exchange Online, communication and collaboration through new Skype for Business and SharePoint online; it includes Enterprise Social collaboration for our customers through Yammer Enterprise. With Office 365 customers can choose to use Microsoft Office streamed from the cloud or in the browser (Office Web Apps), whatever the device is (a PC, a Tablet or a Phone – BYOD).

Customers appreciate very much the fact that using Office 365 they can enable all their employees to work and collaborate more securely, anytime and anywhere.
 
Office 365 services are hosted in Microsoft datacenters on behalf of our customers: it differs from traditional outsourcing just because it does not transfer assets or people from the customer. Rather, using O365 it’s possible to migrate workloads used by the customer and enable new services thanks to our environment, upgrade their existing technology “in the twinkle of an eyed” when needed and, once migrated, O365 provides an up-to-date “cloud experience” with committed service levels for a monthly fee. Customers are choosing more and more frequently to move from their existing on-premises implementations to our hosted technology (including hybrid scenarios) because it is a fully managed implementation.

From a budget point of view the customers can switch from Capital Expenditure to Operational Expenditure, having a high ROI value immediately plus the use of the latest Microsoft technology adoption of their FTEs, sub-contractors and collaborate more efficiently with their customers and partners.

The Technology Solution Professional (TSP) of Business Productivity adds value to Microsoft by delivering proof of Microsoft value to customers and technical contribution to revenue goals. 

I mainly focus in infrastructure solutions both on-premise and hosted (Azure, O365, EMS, Exchange, Skype For Business/Lync, Sharepoint, Yammer, Office 2016, Windows Phone):

•	I successfully drive the win rate within assigned Microsoft Business Productivity opportunities through the delivery of technical sales engagements (ADS, PoC, Pilot). 
•	I develop a Bill of Materials and architecture that feed into solution proposals.
•	I develop partner engagements that feed the Business Productivity opportunity pipeline.
•	I develop partner enablement and readiness for assigned Business Productivity opportunities.
•	I convince competitive customers that Microsoft has a technically superior solution.
•	I ensure that self readiness, the readiness of other TSPs and also team members are maintained for Microsoft’s Business Productivity solutions.
•	I drive evangelism of Microsoft Business Productivity technologies internally and externally to partners and customers.
•	I provide pre-sales technical support to enable customers and partners to develop, deploy, and support Business Productivity solutions.

The constant evolution of networks and the growing diffusion of the broadband are modifying the use of the Internet  which is no longer "the network of information" and has become "the network of knowledge sharing" or, as many call it, the Web 2.0. which means be focus in two definite concepts: convergence and  cooperation, and for both of them, 2.0 must signify high standards of quality of services. 

My role in Italtel, in the season of IP convergence, is to put different nets and different languages into communication, and supplying new services that are made possible by the combination of areas that were once separate: fixed and mobile telephony, and the Internet.

Focus on Integrated DWDM Solutions that maximize services per fiber and extend Metro reach using the Multiservice Transport Platform strategy that enables lowest-cost-per-service network. I test the whole Cisco ONS 15454 platform (ANSI/ETSI), which is designed to maximize DWDM for the expanding metropolitan area network (MAN or metro). Increasing traffic from storage, TDM, Ethernet/IP and optical service applications, which is converging on the metro network, has prompted new service provider requirements and has blurred the traditional demarcation between the MAN and long-haul networks.
