The Associate Director, Medical Information Scientific Content Innovation and Strategy, leads the execution of differentiated content strategies for Medical Information innovative and digital content for global and omni-channel consumption.
Oversees the development of Medical Information and other Scientific content processes, training, and consistent implementation across therapeutic areas.
Collaborates with Medical and Scientific Affairs partners to fulfill global and innovative content needs across various customer types.
Leads a team responsible for driving the execution digital content strategies across various therapeutic areas.
Oversees Medical Writing vendor management and optimization.
Responsible for managing content management system enhancements and analyzing quantitative and qualitative content related success criteria reports and metrics.
Innovative and Digital Content Strategy   ·        Drives consistent adoption of content strategies for the creation and maintenance of Innovative, Digital, Medical Information and other Scientific Content for global and omni-channel consumption across multiple customer types including Healthcare Professionals, Payers and Patients.
·        Leads the development of end-to-end processes for effective generation, dissemination and digital consumption of Innovative Scientific Content across all the regions globally ·        Forges strategic collaboration with scientific content partners, US Medical Affairs, global MI partners and digital engagement partners for Innovative Scientific Content delivery ·        Fosters a culture of innovative approaches to scientific content creation and dissemination through research, benchmarking and anticipating customer needs ·        Oversees the organizational effectiveness of the digital CSI team to deliver on content strategies and initiatives Vendor Management ·        Leads the management of Medical Writing Vendors for Medical Information response authoring and Innovative content assets ·        Ensures optimized delivery of high-quality and efficient outputs by vendors, provides real-time feedback and assists with issue resolution for innovative content ·        Reviews vendor performance feedback and partners to develop action plans to address areas of opportunity ·        Assists with effective allocation of medical writers’ Medical Affairs teams to support authoring needs.
·        Assists in the management of vendor budget Talent Development ·        Manages team of professionals, builds optimal teams and focuses on talent development opportunities for the team.
·        Fosters a culture of transformational innovation in scientific content through research, benchmark and anticipating customer needs.
Metrics, systems and research ·        Manages content related reporting - oversee the development of quantitative and qualitative success criteria reports to measure effective generation and utilization of scientific and digital content.
·        Leads and shapes customer research and benchmark projects to evaluate customer needs/satisfaction and input on creative ideas related to global and digital Scientific Content           Drives communication of strategic input in the content management system for optimal delivery and maintenance of digital and innovative content strategy Qualifications Education.
·        A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
·        A PharmD degree is highly preferred.
Experience and Skills.
·        A minimum of 4-6 years of experience within a Medical Information or Medical Affairs function ·        A minimum of 2 years direct people management experience ·        Experience working with partners in Medical Affairs, IT ·        Strong knowledge of Medical Information process, content management systems and technologies for scientific content ·        Demonstrated success in innovation and creativity to cultivate new ideas and leverage solution to exceed customer needs.
·        Expertise working in a matrix environment with cross functional and cross- regional teams ·        Customer Focus – drives excellent customer service and exhibits understanding of healthcare landscape.
·        Ability to work in the Titusville, NJ office 3 days a week and travel up to 10% for conference attendance and company meetings The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ to $.  The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
