About the Role As Mechanical Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the effective and efficient management of the procurement process.
Your primary responsibilities will include.
Maintaining relationships with suppliers for the procurement of bespoke components, scouting new potential suppliers, and making regular visits to assigned suppliers (located nearby the company in Italy) You will be responsible for timely management of suppliers in terms of costs, delivery, and quality, utilizing company management systems to handle contracts.
Collaboration with the Purchasing team will be essential in achieving cost targets for contracts, and you will actively contribute to make or buy strategies.
Monitoring the order confirmation process and ensuring compliance with agreed delivery dates will be a part of your daily tasks.
You will be responsible for transforming production and spare parts commitments into purchase orders in SAP.
About you Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or similar 3 to 5 years of experience in the same role Basic skills in mechanical technical drawing, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of SAP management system, MRP logic and ERP systems Proactivity and flexibility Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, both internally and externally Strong problem-solving ability and management of business-related emergency situations Ability to handle peaks of workloads without stress Good knowledge of English Language Main Responsibilities / Activities.
