April 24th The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science.
HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally.
In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT’s technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a Construction Specialist for our Campus Development service.
Reporting to the BIM Expert and Construction Coordinator, the role will support the service in the implementation of the new construction projects related to the set-up of the National Platforms and instruments installation in accordance with parameters provided in the suppliers contract, taking care of necessary administrative and technical documents, following legislative requirements This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers, scientists.
In order to succeed, it’s important to know how to ensure the contract requirements and implement quality standards onsite.
You’ll supervise the construction and staging works and ensure that projects are delivered on time.
Your main tasks and responsibilities Technical support in the organization of the projects for realization of research laboratories, facilities and office spaces; Monitoring of work progress in compliance with the contractual specifications and H&S procedures in each stage of realization, from the delivery of the area to the final acceptance tests; Execution of measurements and inspections on the construction site; Technical and administrative support in the preparation of accounting records and correspondence with the contractors both for the Responsabile Unico del Procedimento (RUP) and the Construction Director (DL/DEC); Regular participation at coordination meetings with the contractors, designers and HT partners; Preparation of periodic work progress reports; Prepare and Check SAL/SIL about works; Provide technical support in the process of preparation of construction bill of quantities, technical specifications and drawings for the construction; Support in the coordination processes with local authorities to obtain the necessary authorisations and permissions for projects Collaborate with other departments / areas / services to determine project needs; Support to set performance goals and deadlines; Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly; Resolve on-site issues and emergencies; Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion; Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site; Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Mandatory requirements Technical Diploma (Geometra/Perito) + 5 years of experience in medium and large construction sites or University Degree in Civil Construction/Plant Engineering/Architecture + 3 years of experience in medium and large construction; Good knowledge of MEP plants (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing); Good knowledge of Autocad and BIM platforms Primus or STR and Microsoft Office suite knowledge; Good knowledge of English.
Preferential requirements.
Prior experience in the development of Research Institutes, Universities, and Hospitals; Detailed knowledge of public procurement contract laws and regulations (Codice Appalti D.
gs.
); Direct experience in construction sites (team “Direzione Lavori”); Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
Organizational and social skills.
