CORE BANKING FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT (MID/SENIOR LEVEL)

Innovation Makers is looking to reinforce its team. Location : Lisbon (Portugal) or Luanda (Angola) Regime : On-site or Hybrid Work period: Full-time Main responsibilities: Understand the business functionality of the system with further deployment into the project as a consultant Collaborate with product owners and engineers to define functional and technical requirements for new features and enhancements, ensuring they solve real problems and deliver tangible value Bridge the gap between business and technical teams by translating complex concepts into clear, concise communication that resonates with both audiences Develop user stories, wireframes, and other artifacts to meticulously document requirements, processes, and workflows for seamless development and implementation Analyze data and usage patterns to identify areas for improvement, suggesting optimization strategies and crafting compelling user guides and training materials Create Functional / Business design documents for new changes Validate country / bank specific needs in the solutions developed and get these configurations approved by the leadership team Mapping analysis of every module of Finastra ESSENCE and prepare the final goals of the project Minimum of 9 years of experience in similar roles Consulting and Core Banking product implementation experience Experience of business process modeling and process hierarchies Strong knowledge on modules such as Customer Management, Current & Savings Accounts, Deposits, Lending, Payments, Fees & Charges, Limits, Money Market, Standing Orders, Fund Transfer and Financial Accounting Awareness of local clearing working in general, local payment rails and regulatory needs in the region of deployment Strong communication skills and client facing experience Good soft skills and time management required in order to priorities and co-ordinate delivery of varied tasks involved in client projects Coordination across teams is a must and hence should be a good team player Availability to travel and participate in projects in various territories Knowledge of Portuguese (proficient level) and English (intermediate level) What we value: Exposure to migration from legacy core as part of transformation journey Understanding of local clearing systems Ability to write SQL statements and basic stored procedures What we offer: Salary adjusted to demonstrated experience and knowledge Employment contract Food allowance Flexible work schedule (in conjunction with the team) Training and assistance with ongoing tasks Possibility of professional progression in a growing company Possibility to participate in several projects and act in different markets Why Innovation Makers?
