We at the EDGE (Engineering Delivery for Growth Enablement) develop, design, and deliver high-quality business applications, software solutions and services to meet J&J business technology requirements.
Our offices are newly crafted, specifically to accommodate Scrum development, self-organizing and autonomous teams in an open and highly collaborative environment.
The role requires a broad knowledge of existing data engineering solutions, experience with a variety of structured and unstructured data sources in the healthcare field, the ability to collaborate closely and influence team members in a constantly evolving environment; creativity to invent, customize and work in a multidisciplinary environment to drive business solutions and exposure to new technologies.
The professional will work closely with the EDGE project teams and business partners to find opportunities for applying state-of-the-art analytics to address business challenges and gain new insights to drive business growth and efficiency improvement.
The manager will also mentor the analytics team to promote modern data architecture thinking, standard processes, and insights.
Being also co-responsible for talent development, recruiting, and planning for technical skills across the EDGE.
Responsibilities.
Be the technical Leader of Data Engineers and together with the team deliver innovation and resolve how to best support the business through the effective use of technology and coordinating end-to-end activities.
Mentor the analytics and engineering team to promote data engineering best practices and drive cross-analytics platforms.
Get along with multi-functional teams, including Enterprise Architecture, Platform Services and other Development Centers to ensure solutions completeness and team exposure.

Qualifications A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
Extensive experience (5+ years) working as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS technologies and serverless architectures.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and DynamoDB, and their capabilities for building scalable data processing systems.
Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala, along with experience using SQL for data manipulation and querying.
Proficiency in Data modelling (multidimensional), data enrichment, and data profiling is required.
Expertise in data integration and ETL tools, such as AWS Glue or Apache Spark, for transforming and processing data.
Strong critical thinking experience on business solutions, product management and analytics technical challenges.
Expertise in crafting roadmaps for Analytics platforms.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.
., Tableau, Power BI) and the ability to collaborate with analysts and data scientists to deliver actionable insights.
Proficient verbal and written skills in English are required.
Leadership Qualifications Strong leadership skills, facilitating issues to resolution.
Experience in leading projects.
Must have good planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
