This resource will be working in Brindisi, Italy.
ob Responsibilities.
Manage global OpenStreetMap (OSM) database replica based on PostgreSQL, including the design, implementation and enhancements as necessary.
Monitor daily updates of the Planet.
sm in-house replica through regular (daily) diffs.
Optimize and improve the performance of databases and queries.
Manage PostgreSQL objects (roles, permissions, tables, partitioned tables, views, materialized views, schemas, functions, procedures, triggers, backup, restore, data replication and synchronization mechanisms) and perform troubleshooting in case of issuesoManage geodata using open-source geospatial routines such as.
ogr2ogr, gdal, osmium, osmosis, imposm and osm2pgsql•Skills\/Experience.
Expertise of PostgreSQL and PostGIS database administration is required.
Proficiency in Linux, Linux Shell Scripting and Python is required.
Expertise on OSM data model (geographic, historic, data formats) and other geospatial data is desirable.
Proficiency in at least one of the GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS Desktop) is desirable.
Basic knowledge of Docker containers, LUA and R is desirable.
