DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

We are looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, creating and editing content to help Systemiq communicate effectively its work to drive systems change to range of different stakeholders, across different global markets. Our ideal candidate is a communications professional with excellent, demonstrable writing skills who understands the power of storytelling. The candidate will have previous experience working for organisations to grow their online presence and creatively reaching new audiences in global markets. The candidate will manage Systemiq’s social media channels, website and digital comms assets (eg. Infographics, video). The role will require the ability to work to deadlines and be detailed-oriented whilst understanding the broader context and complexity within which Systemiq operates. We are looking for a good team player, who will develop strong working relationships within the team and beyond, and a self-starter, who will be able to make an impact quickly and be confident developing and leading specific communications campaigns with great levels of autonomy. Contract: Full-time permanent contract Line Manager: Shruti Dudhia, Director of Corporate Affairs Responsibilities · Write and edit content for Systemiq’s digital platforms, understanding complex information and tailoring it for relevant audiences with SEO friendly structure and messaging. · Develop a digital content calendar which is integrated with the broader Systemiq communications plan. · Collaborate with our teams and external agencies to plan and develop effective digital engagement strategies and stand-alone campaigns with a focus on delivering impact. Develop digital assets and social media content (LinkedIn in particular) for our senior team, helping them develop a strong voice as experts in their field and thought leaders for Systemiq. · Develop social media campaigns to support the launch of key reports and in the lead up to key moments i.e. NYCW and COPs. · Ensure that we use social media to engage with key stakeholders (policy, corporates, third-party influencers including NGOs and media). · Oversee social media reporting and metrics to evaluate impact and refine programme. · Be responsible for the ongoing development of the Systemiq website – content updates and digital assets. · Implement SEO best practice across front-end of Systemiq website · Ensure consistency in terms of Systemiq online brand identity. · Work with other Systemiq comms colleagues to provide social and digital media expertise into broader comms programmes. Essential Qualities · Proven work experience in digital communications, including managing social media and website management (x-years’ experience expected, but profiles with strong spikes will be considered), ideally for an international organisation. · Excellent writing skills for social and digital formats. · Proven ability to communicate on complex technical and economic topics to an audience of non-specialists. · Excellent communicator who can engage with colleagues, member organisations and third-party influencers. · Experience working with and managing external agencies and suppliers (design, web, translation). This includes experience creating and managing project briefs and budget management. · Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress · Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics · Experience of delivering global campaigns.
