In this role you will be providing support across a wide range of financial and administrative duties within the Finance team at Open GI, the Finance Assistant Apprentice will gain a Finance Assistant Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting. After the successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to join the team as a permanent Finance Assistant. Your key responsibilities Support the posting of purchase ledger invoices Support raising purchase orders for the business Post the credit card and employee expenses Support the creation of sales invoices Prepare payment requests on Lloyds Link business banking Post and allocate cash receipts onto ledger Maintain cash books for Open GI Complete month-end bank and balance sheet reconciliations with investigation of variances Assist in the statutory audit process including sample collation. Support the Credit Control Team Your Apprenticeship training Assistant accountant Level 3 provided by BPP BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace. Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience. What you’ll need to succeed Experience GCSE or equivalent GCSE's including English and Maths (Grade C/5 or above) Essential Skills Exceptional time management skills, with prioritising workloads essential. Excellent communication skills (written, telephone and face to face). Aptitudes Team player and enthusiastic in achieving both personal and team targets and goals. Proactive professional, who can approach work conscientiously. Methodical, striving to ensure successful and timely resolution to client problems. Enthusiastic, confident and customer friendly. Remains calm under pressure and difficult situations. Positive attitude towards learning new skills.
