WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Our Institute for Earth System Predictions (IESP) is hiring a talented, motivated and proactive Junior Research Associate in Data Management and HPC to work in the Advanced Scientific Computing division in the framework of the PNRR HPC SPOKE 4 project.

Lecce                                              ROLE The Junior Research Associate is responsible for supporting research activities in Data Management and HPC.
RESPONSABILITIES The Junior Research Associate will be involved in the.
Development and improvement of data managent solutions and strategies for handling heterogenous climate\/environmental data sources; Drafting of scientific reports and technical documentation related to the developed solutions.
REQUIREMENTS     M.
c.
degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent fields 3+ years’ experience in scientific software development and parallel programming Excellent knowledge of C\/Fortran and Python programming language Good knowledge of data management systems, and DBMS design Good knowledge of data delivery technologies and platforms (e.

ERDDAP) Parallel programming with MPI of scientific codes for heterogenous HPC architectures Experience with HPC systems Relevant experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python Experience in complex software development and software version control systems (e.

Git) Experience with Linux environment; Knowledge of Python scientific libraries and tools for data analysis (i.
