Position Summary The Manager, Professional Education is accountable for the education strategy, development, and execution of Surgical Vision professional education, throughout the education continuum for all Surgical Vision key focus areas.
These surgical specialties include IOL, Phaco, Laser, Refractive and Tear Science.  This should be achieved through strong customer knowledge along with outstanding collaboration and teamwork with other Professional Education Managers as well as Faculty, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Compliance, Quality, Strategic Accounts and Education teams.
The Manager, Professional Education has responsibility for.
education programming, content/curriculum creation and management, faculty engagement, integration of innovative technologies, administrative, coordination, communication, budget management, and adherence to critical functional processes.
This individual is responsible for adhering to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as Company Health Care Compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities Lead the execution of Professional Education programs including facilitation, coordination and management of faculty, learners, facilities, logistics and vendors to ensure that programs are conducted efficiently, effectively, and compliantly.
Lead Professional Education projects through application of Customer Insights and Strategic Planning to develop and implement new education offerings to meet business plan requirements.
Develop measurable project plans with clear objectives, milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables.
Manages priorities to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Translate customer insights to the broader organization.
Understand and utilize existing and new technology to effectively reach multiple stakeholders to engage and reinforce key learning concepts throughout the Education Continuum; optimize the education modality for the most effective and efficient approach.
Comply with all company training, safety, and Compliance policies.
Apply strategic and big picture thinking in developing and planning for expanded customer types and procedures.
Achieve and maintain clinical and disease state knowledge to build effective and accurate learning solutions for Professional Education.
Qualifications Required.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of 6 years business experience with 3 years in the healthcare industry working in Sales, Marketing or Professional Education is required, preferably within Medical Device.  Sales experience is preferred.
This position requires up to 50% domestic travel.
A valid driver's license issued in the United States.
Preferred.
Knowledge in key specialties (ophthalmology) aligned to the role.
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and Instructional design experience, e.
., building curriculum for healthcare providers.
Experience in crafting distance learning engagements.
Experience in surgical simulation and innovative training modalities.
Faculty interaction/management.
Certification in an educational or training-related field/program.
Other Skills & Abilities Administrative skills – budget, reports, audits, database management.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and translate insights & needs into education solutions.
Demonstrates creative, practical problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Project execution & management, problem solving, and solutions driven skills.
Ability to lead multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of anatomy and procedures.
Strong understanding of technology and the ability to lead web-based meetings and customer-facing events expertly and articulately.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ to $.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year.
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
