Patients First | Innovation | Winning Culture | Heart Recovery POSITION SUMMARY The preCARDIA Team is focused on rapidly developing a novel treatment for patients experiencing heart failure.
Our team is leading the development of the entire preCARDIA system including.
· Balloon Catheter and Accessories · Access and repositioning sheaths · On-board sensors / intelligence · Console, UI, and System performance · Clinical best practices, training, and user KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Support development of catheter, accessories, and preCARDIA system · Assist in the design of components/fixtures.
· Conduct engineering tests for design improvement.
· Provide input into design and design improvements.
· Conduct failure analyses under mentorship of senior engineering staff · Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team Qualifications REQUIREMENTS · Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline.
· Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.
.
engineering and statistical analysis) · Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal · Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred.
· Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus.
