MILL OPERATOR

In complete alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission Statement and Values and under the direction of the Site Manger and/or Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for operating all types of HD equipment at the loading facility and mine as well as operate all aspects of the milling plant, assist with the shipping process, perform AM maintenance on machinery and equipment at RHP and at the mine.
This position assures the mine and plant operates efficiently and safely, in an environmentally responsible manner achieving preferred customer service and product quality within spending budgets.
Develops effective teamwork and utilizes continuious improvement tools and mindset to achieve production and maintenace goals and reduce costs.
Ensures the continuity of production by effective communication across the team.
The Mill/Mine equipment Operator will possess the following.
• Follows all company and OSHA/MSHA safety policies, procedures, and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others.
• Operates, maintains, and supervises the milling plant.
• Operates bagging station in mill to keep up with weekly customer demand.
• Supports the Site Manager and/or Production Supervisor overseeing the mining and plant operations.
• Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.
Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss.
• Accountable to comply with Environmental regulations, with particular focus on the mine and the plant air quality.
• Monitor the production processes and product quality and direct efforts to adjust the process and/or equipment to maintain quality and production standards.
• Assists with the production planning vs rock demand.
• Assists with the shipments on truck and rail vs sales order.
• Maintain, operates, and supervises the stationary and mobile equipment at RHP and active mine to produce crushed rock for cement and agriculture market.
• Operates (if necessary) – the loading process.
Customer trucks and rail shipment, including rail car moves.
• Assists with AM and PM to ensure that all buildings, equipment, and machinery are maintained efficiently, in good and safe operating condition.
• Performs machinery, plant equipment and building housekeeping and cleaning, with focus on 5s projects.
• Report performance results in accordance with company standards using assigned tools.
• Openly and honestly communicate with employees and contractors to build trust and effective teamwork.
• Assists with quality control, with focus on customer specs compliance.
• Maintains of strategic rock stock levels at budgeted level • Supports the business identifying losses and cost reduction opportunities.
¿Este trabajo es para ti? • High School Diploma Required • Must have 1-3 years’ experience with emphasis operating a mill and heavy equipment.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to complete proper AM & AM tasks on equipment.
• MSHA Part 48 - Successfully graduate new miner training - Within 7 days after hire date or have current form.
