OUR TEAM You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where material scientists, chemists, physicists, and mechanical and biomedical engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The research group is led by Dr.
Virgilio Mattoli, who has extensive experience inmicro/nanofabrication, two-photon lithography, conformable electronics, and sensors.
The research focuses on the development of a multi-sensorized platform to be implanted in vessels for heart failure monitoring.
This also includes the possible integration and characterization of miniaturized sensors fabricated by the partners of the project.

The IV-Lab project aims at designing and manufacturing, in collaboration with a consortium of academic institutions, a miniaturized sensing device implantable in the blood vessel for monitoring the health status of patients.
The micro-sensor-system would implement a body-embedded system with multiple sensing capabilities, targeting hemodynamic and biochemical parameters, once implanted into blood vessels.
