he main task of the successful candidate will be to develop Monte Carlo simulations of the response of a SiPM-based detector for geometry and performance optimization.
The development work also includes participating in the characterization and testing of the detector.
The position is intended to cover the full duration of the project, offering excellent visibility and opportunities to present findings at international conferences.
pplicants should hold a Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Physics, Astronomy, or Chemistry obtained no more than nine years before the call deadline.
he selected candidate will be based in Trieste, Italy, with visits to other sites within the INFN divisions as needed for the project.
The contract is expected to commence in the summer of , with some flexibility as required.
The initial appointment is for 18 months, with a possible extension of an additional year.
The salary is approximately € net, with an additional € travel allowance for candidates who did not graduate in Trieste.
