YOUR TEAMThe "Smart Bio-Interfaces" Research Unit focuses on the development and exploitation of physically-active nanoparticles and nanostructured materials, able to provide appropriate instructive cues to cells and tissues; at the same time, particular attention is dedicated to complex in vitro models for the testing of the developed nanoplatforms.
The Research Unit is especially active in the modeling of the blood-brain barrier and of the brain microenvironment.
ou will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where chemists, materials scientist, biologists, biotechnologists, and biomedical engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The selected candidate will be expected to design, fabricate, and characterize advanced sensorized in vitro models of the brain cancer microenvironment, including the blood-brain barrier, for the testing of drug delivery systems.
The platform will be fabricated through micro/nanofabrication techniques, and implemented with 3D co-cultures.
