Description About this role.
Gartner’s Primary Research & Insights team (PRI) provides a high-quality primary research management and execution service.
A Program Manager in Gartner’s PRI team is responsible for the successful processing of data – from data quality to data processing to analysis – of primary research projects for Gartner Research and mentor and coach more junior team members.
The Program Manager will manage a variety of primary research projects which may include Magic Quadrants, funded using external sample, client research and ad hoc studies.
  What you’ll do:  Take ownership of the data management for primary research projects adhering to PRI and industry best practices including providing feedback on the questionnaire going into programming, testing survey links, scrutinizing and cleaning data files, providing feedback to external vendors on sample removals and sample quality, creating tabulated results, running any needed analyses, creating PPT deliverables and processing data for input into our data repositories.
Collaborate with different project teams for every project consisting of Gartner analysts and advisors, researchers, project managers and other stakeholders.
Vendor management; particularly around sample quality and performance.
Contribute to the team’s continuous process improvements and innovation, particularly around data management.
Work with team on applications used for survey programing, data processing and data deliverables which includes but is not limited to SPSS, PPT, Excel, PowerBI, and Beacon/Decipher.
Recognized and acknowledged as an expert in Primary Research & Insights.
Successfully develop and implement assigned projects and programs, on-time, on-budget with all risks managed, disruptions minimized, delivering business-critical outcomes and impact.
What you’ll need.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required 6 to 8 years’ experience, with progressive responsibility, managing data for B2B or consumer primary research projects, preferably for an end-user or consultancy organization or for a field research agency.
Experience using Word, Excel, PPT and SPSS is required.
Familiarity with a solid understanding of and usage of PowerBI, Beacon/Decipher and other survey programming/data reporting tools.
Solid understanding of advanced data analyses (e.
., correlation, factor, and regression analysis).
Demonstrated track record and experience working in a complex and fast paced global work environment.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or initiatives concurrently.
Solid business acumen, effective prioritization, consistent attention to detail and productive collaboration.

Ability to work independently, contribute to the greater global team and to handle multiple projects/tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment, risk identification & mitigation.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to flex the communication style as required; ability to analyze project situations, make sound recommendations and decisions.
Great team player, adding value to the team and process; adapting quickly and easily and displaying genuine commitment; mentoring and coaching more junior data associates.
Uses experiential knowledge as evidence and reasoning to guide stakeholders in making decisions and taking actions.
Displays expertise in exploration and implementation of various data collection methods & data quality checks for primary research studies.
