QHSE ADVISOR

With a track record spanning over 85 years, Glacier Energy’s heat transfer and pressure vessel division has extensive experience in the design, manufacture, repair and refurbishment of heat exchangers and pressure vessels for a wide range of clients. We are at the forefront of innovation and have been working with universities and clients to produce solutions that support carbon capture usage and storage, hydrogen, energy storage and circular economy projects. As one of the only dedicated design and manufacturing companies in the UK with specialist thermal and mechanical engineering capabilities in house, our expertise makes us a clear partner of choice for heat exchanger and pressure vessel requirements. We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a QHSE Advisor to join our heat transfer team in Aberdeen. Roles and responsibilities • Assist the QHSE Manager in delivering exceptional QHSE performance • Ensure legal and other requirements are met through rigorous auditing • Provide support and guidance to operations personnel on QHSE related matters • Deliver training and mentoring on a range of QHSE topics • Support operational QA/QC requirements as required • Ensure accurate records are maintained • Participate in QHSE meetings and investigations • Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes • Assist in developing a culture that encourages safe working practices and continual improvement Experience • Previous experience in a similar role, including QA/QC • Suitably qualified in relevant subjects, such as NEBOSH, incident investigation, quality control, or relevant demonstrable experience • Experience of working in an engineering and fabrication environment • Extensive auditing experience and understanding of management system standards Attributes • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Confident, with excellent communication and inter-personal skills • Efficient, with great attention to detail. • Committed to continuous learning and development • Thorough, tenacious and results orientated Note: All employees are expected to be flexible and undertake additional duties commensurate with the overall requirements of the organisation and that are within their competence when required
