Key responsibilities Form and develop a customer base by mapping the market, cold calling, visiting existing and prospective customers, quoting and presenting our end-to-end supply chain solutions, etc..
Target mid-sized companies in the Industrial Manufacturing sector.
Develop relationships with customers and generate new business.
Drive business opportunities considering the Long Term/Short Term portfolio split, corridor/yield optimization, end-to-end and other VAS opportunities.
Cooperate with Trade, Pricing Revenue Management and Customer Experience teams to ensure a smooth process.
Be the voice of the customer within the Company, constantly gathering and channeling input from customers to improve overall Customer Experience and joint business results.
Ensure constant flow of opportunities into the pipeline to hit volume and revenue target, conduct regular pipeline review and align with hygiene standards.
Be informed about industry trends as well as about competition environment, providing feedback to colleagues and actively collaborate with pricing and product strategies.
We are looking for Good experience, and very good understanding of global trades, shipping lines and freight forwarding business model.
Strong negotiator with hunter mindset who understands procurement tactics and has a very good interpersonal skill to keep the good relationship.
Able to handle multiple vertical and horizontal stakeholders, with multicultural backgrounds, internal and external stakeholders.
Prior international working experience is a plus.
Someone with a proven track record in winning and developing (key) customers.
Proof of winning is a plus.
Able to think outside the box, deliver innovative solutions and ways of working Is flexible while remaining accurate under stressful situations.
Has strong communication skills and good commercial sense.
Is proactive, able to take ownership, is willing to go the extra mile for customers and build long term relationships.
Willingness to travel.
We expect you also have.
Commercial background and experience in selling logistics solutions to BCO customers; Good Microsoft Excel skills, able to work on live online systems; Good command of English and Italian.
Additional information The positions is based in Genoa or Milan, Italy.
