We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily focus on supporting the growth and business development (BD) initiatives within the landfill and waste sector. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of environmental regulations and possess strong project delivery skills to contribute to the successful execution of ongoing projects. Business Development Support: Collaborate with the BD team to identify and pursue opportunities within the landfill and waste sector. This includes market research, client engagement, proposal development, and attending industry events. Project Delivery: Take an active role in the execution and delivery of projects within established timelines and budgets. Responsibilities include project planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting to ensure successful project completion. Environmental Compliance: Stay updated on relevant environmental regulations and ensure project activities align with legal requirements and industry standards. Provide guidance on compliance issues and support the development of mitigation strategies. Technical Expertise: Utilise technical expertise to assess environmental impacts, conduct site assessments, and propose sustainable solutions for waste management projects. Provide technical support to project teams as needed. Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering high-quality solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and maintain regular communication throughout project lifecycles. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and consultants, to achieve project objectives and deliver innovative solutions. Contribute actively to team meetings, discussions, and knowledge sharing activities. Key Responsibilities • Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to Clients. • Reviewing the works of others and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the client. • The successful individual must be able to work to tight deadlines within a Quality Management System. • Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards. • Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business. • Monitors and manages compliance and KPI's. • Business development including the preparation of tender submissions. Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets. • Management of all work in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS) Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or related industry, with a focus on landfill and waste management projects. Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements. Proven track record of successful project delivery, including project management experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications for data analysis, reporting, and project management.
